I have been working out my entire life and spent too many hours doing cardio and traditional workouts, nothing has given me the results I wanted until CrossFit. CrossFit has propelled me into a higher level of fitness than ever before, it has truly shown me excellence! My life long love of fitness and wellness is what brought me to this arena and I look forward to sharing my passion and helping you find your own excellence. CrossFit is fun, challenging, exciting, extremely effective…it will give you camaraderie, personal attention and lots of encouragement…it will push you to be your absolute best. I love motivating athletes to achieve new fitness levels.

I was an active kid, playing sports in middle school and high school and spending my school vacations hiking the Appalachian Trail, but it wasn’t until college that I really became interested in fitness. We were required to take a physical education credit and I just couldn’t bring myself to take aerobics or horseback riding (I’m actually kind of scared of horses). So I signed up for a weightlifting class. It was really just a circuit of machines and we did the same ones every class. But it was enough to peak my interest and I soon realized that I was pretty strong. I continued lifting weights after the semester class ended and I started running to and from the gym. While everyone else was sleeping in, I was usually the first one at the gym in the morning. I really loved working out and sharing it with other people so I pursued certification as a personal trainer.
I worked in different gyms for a couple of years and frequently heard of CrossFit. It was generally something the other trainers did for their own workouts, but I thought it was too hard for me. It wasn’t until I became totally burned out programming for and coaching other people that I really became interested in CrossFit. I spent so much time and energy on my clients that I myself had stopped working out. I needed motivation! That’s when I remembered CrossFit. Like most people, once I experienced it, I was hooked. I loved working out in a fun group and I needed the motivation of striving to improve with every workout.
Once I committed to CrossFit on a regular basis I became leaner and stronger, and at that point it only made sense to become a CrossFit instructor and share what had worked best for me. I love teaching people new things and watching them progress and succeed. CrossFit empowers you to do things that once seemed impossible. I feel privileged that I get to witness people turning the impossible into the possible everyday!

“As an athlete in high school and college, I have seen the levels individuals can rise to in the spirit of both competition and camaraderie above and beyond their normal capabilities. I had never thought to integrate these elements into my own training program, until I discovered CrossFit. Going to the gym is no longer something I need to drag myself to when I am not in the mood, it is something I really look forward to. This is owed to the proven results CrossFit provides and to the exceptional community and environment surrounding it, specifically at Forever Crossfit. If you want to work hard, test your limits, and be a better athlete, CrossFit is the avenue, end of story.”
Rick is a graduate of Cornell University with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering. He enjoys basketball, golf, southern BBQ, Seinfeld re-runs and planning Halloween costumes way too early in the year. He looks forward to coaching you to be your very best and to reach any goal you desire.

CrossFit Movement and Mobility
Certified Athletic Trainer
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
An athlete all my life, I competed in 3-4 sports through high school. I picked up rugby in college and played women’s club rugby after college. My passion for athletics and human movement has carried over into my career. I have been an athletic trainer at the high school level, collegiate level and elite sports. I still work for USA Rugby with the Women’s Eagles, our national team. After hanging up my rugby boots, I floundered along without any real fitness and athletic direction for the first time in my life. I found CrossFit where I rediscovered my competitive drive and refocused on my fitness. I was skeptical, dragged into the gym kicking and screaming, now you have to drag me out! Beyond the physical benefits from CrossFit, the community is what truely sets this amazing thing that we do called CrossFit apart. I love to share my passion for health, fitness and nutrition to help us all live better quality lives. I look forward to working with you all at Forever CrossFit!

FCF New Member Mentor
Crossfit Certified Level 1 Trainer
Father, Husband, Master’s Competitor, CrossFit Enthusiast, Level 1 Trainer. I coach Forever CrossFit’s Elements and Intro classes. In my main role as the FCF New Member Mentor, I work with new members to help them transition during their first 90 days. I am a go-to resource for all CrossFit related matters. Everything from setting goals, scaling WODs, referring someone to a coach, learning the importance of nutrition, dealing with soreness and most importantly, HAVING FUN! I remember what it was like when I first joined our box. I wasn’t a fire breathing ex-college athlete. I was intimidated and overwhelmed, but I appreciated a couple Crossfit veterans taking me under their wings. We provide customized support and insight for every new member to help them achieve their fitness goals.

I began my CrossFit journey over 3 years ago. After joining the Air Force straight out of high school,
fitness was beat into my head from all angles. I began weightlifting during my first 3 years in the military
and quickly realized that something more was needed. After a 3 year tour overseas I was then stationed
at Eglin AFB Florida and was introduced to CrossFit. The environment hooked me instantly. People
gathered daily to destroy themselves in an effort to become better than the previous day. Athletes of all
ages, shapes and backgrounds pushed one another to the limits of human endurance regularly. It was
here I discovered my love for superior fitness and coaching. After a short stint in Special Operations and
two years of dedicated CrossFitting I decided to get my Level 1 Certification. I began coaching in October
12’ and have been doing so ever since. Currently I am a TACP out of the New Jersey Air National Guard.
I attend College at the University of Maryland where I major in Homeland Security. I look forward to
working with all athletes and coaches alike.
